| Seeing Lithen jump over him, the green spectre spun around to face the incoming attack, blocking it with his vine-rods and taking minimal damage. He responded by quickly pulling back the rods and bringing up his knee to attack.

| Lithen took the blow from the raised knee to the gut and was briefly stunned by the attack. "Erg... Such power... How can I hope to win?!" Lithen got back to his feet and observed the situation. (("His heart... Ok...")) Lithen changed directions and tackled the large gemstone in the center of the arena! | |

| As Lithen impacted with the large green crystal, it send a resounding vibration through the entire arena which caused the trees to shake and the forest spirit to stagger back in obvious pain, clutching his chest.
"Gah! Enough of that!"
Pointing both of his arms at Lithen, several vines sprouted from the ground to make an attempt to ensnare the Leafeon! Simultaneously, a thick creeping ivy entwined itself around the crystal to form a barrier around it. In the same manner by which he attempted an attack before, the forest spirit rushed at Lithen to deliver a powerful kick against him, should the vines hold him long enough.

| Lithen is unable to escape the vines tight grasp and is pummeled by the specter's kick. The vines released just as he made contact and Lithen was sent reeling against the edge of the arena. Lithen staggered to his feet, "So that was your weakness. I'm guessing that you won't let me pull that off again. How about this!" Lithen charged at a bordering tree with all his might causing the tree to tremble and shake, quiver the upper branches over the arena! | |

| The tightly bound trees of the arena were linked at the roof of the forest by interwoven branches; however, the shock delivered against the one tree caused a chain reaction leading to the snapping of all the branches which formed the roof of the arena! The collection of branches fell toward the circular arena, threatening to bury the combatants and likely damage the crystal. The spirit saw this and used an intense amount of focus to force the snapped ends of the branches to reattach themselves to the trunks of the trees where they were, stopping before reaching the floor. This feat required intense focus and power, forcing him to ignore his other surroundings.

| "It's over!" Lithen charged again, this time targeting the apparition, while his defenses were lowered. The tackle attack assumed deadly accuracy and savage strength... | |

| The rushing attack caught the crystal's keeper while he was unable to defend, knocking him off of his feet and directly into the now low ceiling. Instead of slamming against the roof and thus knocking it down again, it seemed as if he melted into it and likewise the branches all retracted into the trees. The trees spread back out as the arena seemed to disappear. As if on cue, the ivy covering the crystal receded and a small shard chipped off from the main body of the Unferth Crystal and began levitating in place above it.
"very impressive, Lithen, it has been some time since I was last challenged in such a way. take this piece of the crystal and may your efforts bear fruit along your quest."
Congratulations! You have successfully obtained a shard of the Unferth Glade's crystal! You gain 10 experience and 5 energy as well as 20 gold! (don't ask where it came from)

| Battered and bruised Lithen took the levitating object and pocketed it right away. Shortly after, his body began to glow and he transformed back into an Evee, injuries still present. "Ow... I hope the next crystal is a little easier" Lithen retraced his steps back to Wess and the tree. | |

| As Lithen came back within view of Wess and the Exeggcutor, Wess quickly went to his friend, excited to hear of the most recent adventure and glad to see that he had come back safely. As the dunsparce reunited with his comrade, the Exeggcutor walked back into the thick of the forest.
"Lithen! Did you get the crystal? Are you okay? That tree was creepy, he just stood there and looked at the way you went the whole time..."

| Lithen was still beaten and bruised from the battle but still managed to display the green glowing fragment of the crystal and the leaf stone. "I met the lord of the Castle that used to be here. He challenged me to a fight and I transformed into leafeon to beat him." Lithen cringed, "We better get out of this forest soon." | |

| Wess was awestruck by the gemstone that Lithen had shown him but then snapped back to attention and readily accepted the proposition to leave the forest behind. "I didn't know there was a castle in this forest! It's so full of mysteries! This forest is still way too creepy to explore, I'm ready to leave as soon as you are..."
The road which you followed into the forest seems to have been cleared of the weeds which made it so difficult to travel, thus allowing relatively easy passage.
