| Lithen was starting to feel better. A few berry bushes along the way had aided in his recovery. He was too preoccupied to pay heed to his injuries as he would gaze in wonder at the Gemstone he had recovered. Then in the other paw: The Leaf stone. It's power had helped out tremendously in the last fight but he still wasn't sure how to control it or to use it to the full extent of it's ability. After all, being a plant has to have more to it than that right? Only after several minutes of thought, did it occur to Lithen that Wess was in awe of him for some unknown reason. Lithen decided to let it go since it was hardly odd behavior for Wess. | |

| The surroundings had changed drastically since the pair had begun their journey out of the Unferth Glade. Some amount of sun came down through the leaves to light the way and trees were significantly smaller than they had been in the magical forest. One key difference was that the general area was abuzz with the sounds of life.
Up ahead, there is the sound of a highly unusual melody. Its source becomes vaguely apparent as a relatively tall red-colored body became visible in a nearby clearing.

| Lithen feeling uneasy about the prospect of a new enemy would normally put on his guard. However, never in his life time had someone started a fight with a song. "Have you ever heard a sound like that Wess?" | |

| Wess shook his head, "I've never heard that before. I don't know what to think of it..." As soon as the two completed that dialog, the music stopped with a *SCREECH* as the now revealed Kricketune flew at Lithen and Wess with bladed arms which had only just stopped making music.
(Kricketune used Fury Cutter, the screech is not an attack but more like when you seriously mess up while playing a violin)

| Lithen knew a fight when he saw it but it looked like Wess was the one under fire. Eager to help his friend, He dashed full force at the Kriketune with a tackle attack! "Stop!" | |

| The Kricketune was not stopped by Lithen's tackle attack but instead slashed again at Lithen with slightly greater strength fueled by the force of the previous swing. As the enemy's attention was on Lithen, Wess attacked from behind with his rage attack to inflict light damage.
Both Wess and the enemy are in good fighting condition.

| Lithen Backed off to catch his breath, but kept his enemy in sight. "Why are you attacking us!? We haven't done anything to you!" Lithen saw that his words were being wasted and that his opponent was only getting stronger from each attack. He mustered his strength and charged for another tackle attack! | |

| Kricketune was still attacking relentlessly; when you had pulled back, it seamlessly moved into attacking Wess and putting a relatively shallow cut across the Dunsparce's face which made his rage attack stronger in response to the pain.
The enemy's attention had been fixed on Wess as Lithen tackled him from behind, inflicting higher damage and throwing Kricketune off balance (Critical hit).
Wess has recieved light wounds, Kricketune is weakening quickly but still blindly furious.

| Lithen was running out of ideas, but couldn't stand to sit back and let his friend take the punishment. As he saw the Kricketune readying another swipe at Wess, something primal stirred up in Lithen. He growled then Leapt at Kricketune with a new found ferocity behind his tackle attack! | |

| The furious tackle attack coupled with continued rage from Wess knocked Kricketune off of its feet and straight into a tree! It didn't seem to be too badly wounded, but the shock had knocked Kricketune out cold. Additionally, the blow to the tree had knocked a small branch laden with 5 oran berries to the ground!
With the battle over, Wess was able to calm down but was kind of dizzy as he came down from adrenalin rush and was able to feel the pain in his face again.
Kricketune is incapacitated, 10 exp and 5 energy each was earned by Wess and Lithen.

| Lithen cleared his head and gathered the berries. Eating 2 himself and leaving the rest to Wess. "I guess we aren't out of the woods yet. He he, sorry couldn't resist. We better go before he wakes up." Lithen handed over the berries and ushered his friend to move as he ate. "Sorry you took so much from him. I'd have transformed but then he would have probably killed one of us. I would assume that a bug would have literally eaten me if I were a plant." | |

| As the two moved along, Wess ate one of the berries he had been given. The medicinal properties of the berry caused Wess's cut on his face to slowly fade away. Wess looked over at Lithen, apparently not repulsed by the bad pun, "It's so nice that you can transform, Lithen! You'll have to show it to me some time! I wonder why that pokemon attacked us, though, we didn't even do anything to him."
There don't appear to be any hostile presences for the time being and much of the surrounding area looks more or less the same in every direction. Directly ahead of Lithen, however, the forest shrubs appeared to have been completely cleared away. The only evidence that there had once been plants there was that tiny stubs of the bushes still stuck up where they had previously been.

| Lithen looked around. Seeing nothing eventful about he looked back at Wess. "Ok. I'll transform for you. It doesn't look like I'll need to show you any tricks though." Lithen waited for some form of acknowledgement from Wess to make sure it wasn't 100% unnecessary. | |

| Wess could hardly contain his excitement as he had never witnessed a transformation before, especially since he himself couldn't transform. "You can really do it right now? That'd be great! I've always wanted to see a transformation..."
The coast still appeared to be clear, there was also a large number of twigs spread about the area so incoming dangers would likely alert others to their presence fairly quickly.

| Lithen grasped his leaf stone, "OK!". He swiped it through the air and it began to glow. "Element: Grass! Color Change!" Lithen was enveloped in light and when the dust settled he was a radiant Leafeon. "How do you like it?" | |

| Wess's eyes sparkled as he watched the dazzling display of awesome transformative goodness. "That's amazing! I wish I could do that!"
Before the demonstration could continue, however, it was interrupted by the sound of snapping twigs behind one of the bushes in the immediate area. After a brief moment of silence, there was also the sound of hissing and a flicking tongue coming from the same source. If the intruder was aiming to catch Lithen and Wess by surprise, it had officially done a terrible job at it.
The enemy's identity and intentions became crystal clear as a Seviper burst out from the brush with its maw gaping wide, making a tactless attempt at biting Lithen.
"Ssstarving!!" | |

| Lithen was grasped in the jaws of the attacking Seviper, holding his mouth open from within. "Run Wess!" A line of drool dripped onto Lithen's cheek. Lithen was holding on as strong as he could but was being slowly compressed. | |

| Wess was deeply frightened, but significantly more concerned for his friend. Completely ignoring the command telling him to flee, the Dunsparce rushed at the Seviper from the side to help Lithen escape! Slamming into the side of the large snake's mouth with the power of Rage, the Seviper was forced to spit out the leafeon as it had it fought against Wess by coiling around him in a wrap attack!
Combat summary: Lithen was freed from Seviper's maw. Seviper has taken light damage from the rage attack. Wess is caught in a wrap attack.

| Lithen crawled to his feet, "Wess! I'm coming!". He then shook off the drool and followed up with a charging tackle attack, trying his best to avoid hitting Wess in the impact. | |

| In response to Lithen's attack, the Seviper attempted to protect itself by tensing up and thus tightening his grip on Wess! The damage from the wrapping was building Wess's rage as he struggled to escape. After the impact from tackle had done its damage, Seviper reached towards lithen with its head to make an attempt at paralyzing him with a lick attack. If Seviper were able to fight one on one with either of them, it stood a much greater chance of victory.
Combat Summary: Seviper remains in fighting shape as its hunger drives it to ignore the pain of the continued attack. It then attempts to use "Lick" against Lithen. Wess is struggling to escape while using "Rage."

| Lithen dodges the tongue attack and circles around to the main body of the seviper. He could help feeling piteous for the creature as it was only fighting for his life. However, it was now a dangerous predator and needed to be stopped for now, even if a better solution can be found later. Lithen rushed in with a tackle attack, to try and break the hold! | |

| Lithen's rush attack hit Seviper hard, causing its grip on Wess to weaken but not enough to let go completely. Wess continued to try and break free from Seviper's coils, and his efforts were causing pain to the large snake. In order to try and stop the dunsparce from resisting, Seviper took its eyes off of Lithen while biting on Wess's head! Being squeezed and having Seviper's mouth around his head, Wess's movements were restricted.
Summary: Wess is immobilized. Seviper is becoming weak, but is still able to fight.

| Lithen charged in for one last tackle in attempt to free his friend! "Wess! Hold on!" Dust clouds kicked up at his feet as he ran towards his target. | |

| The struggle was finished as both hunger and pain took its toll on the would-be predator. Its mouth opened, its coils unwound, still awake but too weak to go on with the battle, Seviper lay sprawled out on the ground as if to resign itself to whatever fate was in store for it. It had attacked Lithen and Wess with full intent to devour them both, failing this it could only assume vengeance to be taken on it. Wess came back over to Lithen, tired, but thankful that his friend was able to stop Seviper from eating him.
You have defeated Seviper, gaining 10 exp and 5 energy. You may decide what to do with the incapacitated pokemon.

| Lithen thought for a moment. "I have an idea." He approached Seviper's head, "Can you eat bugs?" | |
