The sneasle grinned, "Have some more! It's good for you." She refills the cup and presents it to you again. "It's made from pecha berries ground to a pulp then mixed with spring water." Then she gave you a sly look, "Really fills up your strength."

Gursch readily accepted the berry drink as he was still feeling a bit worn from the battle he just had. "You know, I have to admit that I feel a lot better after drinking this." He took another drink of the fine beverage, "this is nice, but i shouldn't get too comfortable, there's a lot I still need to do before the day is over and it's already pretty dark around here as it is even in the day time."

The Sneazle looked saddened by his response. "Oh... Your the first human guest to come here in a long time. Won't you please stay?" She was practically pleading with you which was unusual for her kind. And altogther a little suspect.

Irresistibly drawn back to the glass, Gursch finds himself drinking more of the odd substance. As the last of the fluid left the cup, Gursch mustered all of his willpower to try and punch the Sneasel before it can bring out more of its addictive elixir, "I don't know what you're trying to pull, but I'm not going to stay here and drink more of this!"

Your punch knocks her off the podium and the flask lands in her mouth, gushing liquid into it. "Oh yes! Yes! *Glug glug* YES!" The flask soon empty she lay on the ground quite dizzified. Soon an Aron comes out of the confessional and tosses you an acorn. "That will cure the addiction. You can do what you will with her. She's useless now. Leave soon."

Gursch thankfully bit into the acorn, cringing at its awesome bitterness but recovering from the juice addiction. "Thanks, I owe you!" As he quickly left the chapel, he tossed a coin to the donation box and returned to the street he had come in from. Looking around, he decided to move through the streets deeper into the city, looking around at the same time for anything he could use to battle the abundant ghosts in the area.

Suddenly, as you go to leave, A trap chute opens beneath you and you land in a dank caged area. There doesn't appear to be any way out save the door on the far end that is undoubtedly locked. The cell was actually brilliantly designed to keep prisoners from trying to escape by only providing small holes for air as opposed to the traditional barred exits. There is a key-hole dead center of the door, which appears to be tamper resistant. A few moments later The intoxicated Sneasel lands nearby you, passed out from the drink. You hear Aron's voice echo down the chamber, "Welcome to the arena, filthy peasant! Make me some money and you both will be free to go, with an escort out of the city! Good Luck!"

Seeing no chance of escape for the time being, Gursch made an attempt to wake up the Sneasel. "Seems all I can do is fight to get out, nohing I can do about this cell... Chances will be better if we can both fight, but I'm not exactly sure how useful this one would be."
Thinking a moment, Gursch decided to take this time to put on the slightly oversized armor he had found earlier.

You have enough time to completely assemble the armor, however until you get used to it you're a tad slower than before but your defense is greatly increased. The Sneasel stirs from her stupor, "You idiot! Now we're both gonna die!" She claws at the walls in frustration. A guard comes over from outside and opens the gate "Your turn. Come on out."

Gursch stretches slightly to recover from the stiffness from falling and also to get a little bit more adjusted to the armor. Stepping through the door, he gripped his hatchet as he prepared to fight for his life. without looking at anyone or anything, he waited for his foe to be presented.

You enter the arena pit and notice that the pit is really a modified aqueduct. They must have blasted an entrance to the keep's dungeon to keep you so well imprisoned. A box drops from the ceiling, shattering on the ground revealing an enraged Syther. Apparently they had been taunting the poor creature for hours. However you notice that there are a number of drains around the pit. One must lead out. The Aron will definitely keep his word, but you may need to leave if it's too much for you.

Gursch saw the maddened scyther and knew that it had far passed the point where any living thing ceases to be capable of rational thought; in terms he'd use to describe it, the thing was "friggin' pissed." Seeing the sharpened sword-like arms on it, Gursch was glad he thought to put on the armor. In preparation to fight, he muttered a strategy to himself, "thing's mad, no way it'll try and be graceful about fighting. Looks like it's too fast for me to try and come in to attack it... It's gotta come here and then I have to crack it open..."

Gursch tightened his grip and stood his ground to wait for the scyther to come in close and attack.

The scyther rushes in head first at a blinding pace! It takes to the air and sweeps down with it's sword arms extended!

Unable to dodge the rapid-movement attack while wearing the armor (or maybe not even without it), Gursch put his armored arms up to try and block the attack! The blow from scyther's bladed arms didn't pierce the armor, but did leave substantial scratches and dents in it. While his enemy was in close range, Gursch let go of his weapon to make a grab at the scyther's arms to restrict it from slashing him.

The bend on the Scyther's blade became so tenuous, it began to cry out in pain. It fell to it's knees and whimpered. You were beginning to think it was over, when suddenly a spectator threw a metal sheet onto it's other arm, which began to glow. It's whole body transformed into a vicious Scizor. With it's increased strength it suplexs you and your armor into the framework of one of the drains, smashing it open. Scizor approaches you slowly and readies an explosive Bullet Punch to finish you.

The shock from breaking the grate on the drain completely wrecked Gursch's armor as it fell off of him, leaving him with only the clothes he had before to protect him but also being significantly lighter. His only chance of success in the battle being to burn his opponent, he had to get back to his hatchet which he had dropped in the center of the ring before being hurled to the other side of it. The crumpled metal of his iron armor had cut him in a few insignificant places, but in order to distract the scizor and save himself from its bullet punch, he threw it at his enemy's face and ran to retrieve his weapon and tear some cloth from the bottom of his pants.

You reach the hatchet and with a quick dive roll you have it in your grasp with the cloth in place. However the armor doesn't distract for long as Scizor is upon you in an instant and he takes the midsection of the hatchet between his pincers and hefts you off the ground. The crowd roars as he readies his other claw to go in for the kill!

As a goodnews-badnews moment, the worn handle of the hatchet had been broken when the scissor-hand of the scizor had lifted it up. While this ruined his weapon, it freed gursch from the beast's grip and impending attack and allowed him one more shot at a counter-attack. Since he had been lifted over Scizor's head before being dropped by the loss of grip, he had a clear shot at his foe's face, which was filled as he threw the head of his broken weapon directly at it!

The scrap of cloth ignited, and scorched the foes face causing him to stagger back wailing in pain. The agony was so intense it negated the effect of his Metal Coat which caused him to transform back the be reduced to a burnt husk. (inventory +1 Metal Coat) An announcer could be heard over the cheering crowd "Amazing! Our new contender has shown great promise just now! Lets see how he fares in round 2!" A Chansy ran out to the field and presented you with a small egg "Eat it! It will restore your strength"

+10 EXP
+1 Scyther arm

Gursch quickly ate the egg and thanked chancey, even though this was probably just its job. Having lost his primary weapon, he ran over to the burnt scyther to try and see what he could salvage from its corpse. Fortunately, one of the scyther's bladed arms was in good enough condition to fight with(and the rest of the body was crispy enough to easily break it off without being too juicy. "If I made a break for it, they'd probably catch me and send me back here... with even worse odds..."

As you get ready for your next fight, the sneasel from before shows up, "Good job! Now what's the plan?" She acted like she had something to do with your victory when it was obvious it was all you. "Hey! How about we make a break for that hole before the send out something awful?"

Gursch mentally facepalmed and said quietly, "I don't think it's a good idea to be discussing an escape in front of this crowd. If you wanna try and run for it maybe I'll follow you, but just act quickly if you're gonna act."

Moments after you uttered your words, 3 panels opened up revealing 2 of the prince's mercenaries and an Absol-Morph. Sneasel makes a break for the tunnel, as the first thug races to intercept. The Absol-Morph charges then gores him forcing him to drop his sword and collapse to the ground. Apparently, this was a free for all.

Seeing the chaos of the battle around him, this would be an ideal time to escape if he was going to try to. He was at least going to keep his options open and move toward the exit in case things got dangerous. Gursch quickly tried to move along the walls towards the hole, keeping his guard up and his eyes trained on what appeared to be the strongest of the combatants(absol). He didn't want to find himself blind-sided before he could either escape or eliminate the other fighters.

The merc, chased Sneasel into the hole, leaving only you and Absol-M. He approached you slowly with an expression of pure cruelty on his face, adorned with his horn blade. "You gonna fight me little man? With that? Even if it were attached, you're no match for me.We're in different castes you and I. Me, I'm in the warrior caste. You are the filth of this world trying to tarnish my boots. If you are still intent on fighting me then know your fate is sealed."
