Gursch's eyes narrowed a bit, "I doubt you'd leave me another option here if I wanted to run for it. At least -one- of us is going to be getting out of here, so if you're done monologuing about how great you are, just get this over with!" Finishing his line, he firmly grasped the sturdiest part of his sword and took a defensive stance, not wanting to leave an easy opening for the Absol to exploit. Before the battle would start, Gursch gritted his teeth and had one thing to say to himself.... "crap..."

Absol-M dashes at you with incredible speed while readying an intense uppercut to try and disarm you! You have a split second to react and notice an opening in his technique.

Absol-M lv.5 (using Morph+ punch)(Full Health)

As the attacker rushes in for his uppercut, Gursch sees an opening at the foe's legs, throwing his sword towards the enemy's lower body and blocking with his arms to brace for a hit.

The Absol-M tumbles over the blade and slices his hamstring, causing him to trip. "Damn you!" You hear a hush over the crowd followed by one man's clapping. "Very resourceful Gursch. A scyther's arm... Why not replace it with his horn? Finish him.". The Absol-M was shocked, "What?!"

Gursch had to think, while he had already slain many a pokemon during this trip, it had been pretty much on defense. While he did hate the attitude the absol-morph had before the fight, he was still relatively human and had already been defeated... finishing him didn't seem right; was a really nice horn though...
Looking down at his crippled opponent, Gursch made a hushed proposition. "If you let me keep that horn, I'll try and get you out of here. It's pretty obvious you've lost your value to them, and it wouldn't feel right to kill you when you're already down. So, should I kill you and take your horn like the people want me to or should I spare you and take your horn like I want to?"
If absol was willing to part with his horn for survival, that would work well for Gursch in more ways than one; but if his opponent was stubborn, he'd have to please the crowd in order to ensure his escape.

The Absol-M grimaced. "You don't even know what that means! Strike me down! It's your only choice."

Gursch hated to do it, but the absol was finished no matter what happened now. "I'm sorry, but there aren't many options here and I have to get out." He took up the scyther blade and ended the absol morph's life, keeping his horn to aid him in further combat. His actions didn't leave him feeling good about himself, but he didn't want to risk the consequences of disappointing his captors or trying to run away since as long as he won and satisfied the crowd's lust for violence he could earn his way out.

The man stood up, "Well it looks like we have a sportsman among us! As Aron promised, you are free to go with an escort. Lets have a big applause for this arena's Champion!". A roar came over the crowd as a Misdrevous appeared next to you. "I will take you to the city gates. Please leave any fighting to me."

Temporary ally:
Misdreavous lv.20

Rewards:

2 EXP

Absol-M's Horn

Gursch nodded thankfully to his escort and was ready to leave. "Glad that I don't have to do more fighting after this, was worried I might be in there 'til I died..."

Misdreavous glowed a little, "You might want to close your eyes for this. Some people find it a little.... Uncomfortable." Your body falls limp and a rush of dozens of different environments at once comes over you until you settle at the gate where you started.

Gursch opened his eyes to see he was back at the gate to the ruined city, back where he started. "I'd best get moving before anything else happens... but where can I go?" Leaving the ruins behind him, he walked off to try and find a road or sign that he could follow to a place where he could rest.
